🤔 Why does Ultimo 2.0 rust?Updated 2 years ago

Our Ultimo 2.0 Knife is made of 1095 high-carbon steel, but it does rust because it lacks the corrosion-resistant properties compared to our Ultimo 1.0 version (which is made of stainless steel). Although it’s stronger and more durable than stainless steel, carbon steel may rust and corrode when exposed to moisture. Even small amounts of moisture, including moisture vapor in the air, can cause carbon steel to rust. Furthermore, carbon steel is less ductile than stainless steel.

You can try these simple steps to clean the knives:
1. Rub the blades of the knives with baking soda.
2. Let it sit there for a couple of minutes.
3. Wipe with a clean cloth.
4. Rub both sides of the blade with oil and store as usual.
